Introduction

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is a response to Section 54(1), Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to the actions and activities for the financial year ending 2021.Innovative Energy Consultants (‘the Company’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’) is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking violations in its own operations, its supply chain and its products. We have zero-tolerance towards slavery and require our supply chain to comply with our values.

Organisational Structure

Innovative Energy Consultants business operations are in the United Kingdom. Our customers and suppliers are based in the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union.We operate in the Energy and Sustainability Consulting sector. We provide Sustainability Consultancy services to SMEs across all sectors in the UK, who are seeking to become more sustainable. We also provide Growth Consultancy services to clean tech start-ups globally.The vast majority of our suppliers and partners are based in the UK.

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. Due Diligence

Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK.We do not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or elsewhere, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

Our due diligence aims to:

  • Identify and action potential risks in out business and supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risks in our business and supply chains.
  • Reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our business and supply chains.

Risk and Compliance

We have evaluated the nature and extent of our exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our UK supply chain and we consider that we operate in a low risk-environment.We do not tolerate slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains. Where there is evidence of failure to comply with our policies and procedures by any of our suppliers, we will terminate all commercial relations with such suppliers.
